Tulile (Jose Manuel Rivera) was born the 8 of October of 1976, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As early as eight years old, he dedicates himself to the music, like his father did. At only 13 years old, Tulile already dominated the alto saxophone.
At the age of 14 years old, he was member of the orchestra of the Cuerpo de Bomberos de Santo Domingo. Later, became member of El Equipo del Maestro Dioni Fernandez and also worked with Monchy Capricho. After that he was part of Ramon Orlando y La Orquesta Internacional. In 1999, Tulile recorded his first production as solo artist. In 2000, he released his second album, under the label MTVI Records. This album first hit was the song named “La Cuca” which has been a huge radio success, reaching to the top of the charts in various country. This success has made Tulile the king of street merengue. |
