Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York city, from the age of seven he has been taking the steps towards his dream of become an international artist. He has study and practice with some of today’s big talents. He has trained his voice to the street’s urban sounds and has master the R&B and Hip-Hop flavors. J. Aponte is always practicing his skills as a writer and singer.

Growing up listening to the Latin rhythms has allow him the chance to be able to compose beautiful and complex songs like “Mujer Ajena”, “Amiga mía”, “Soy el Ladrón” just to name a few. J. Aponte is recognized as a multi-talent studio vocalist, working with artist like: Don Miguelo, Toño Rosario, Aguakate El Shino, DJ Chucky, Son Inocentes, Ricky Castro, Wilfrido Vargas, Kinito Méndez, Calle 13, producer Dante Rivera, producer Henry Jiménez, producer José H. Javier (Joselito) just to name a few.

Also he was part of the sound track of “El Vacilon The Movie”. J. Aponte is working in new projects and for sure he will leave his mark in the music world.
